Gina Din Kariuki - Managing Director

Gina Din-Kariuki established GDCC after her 13 year tenure as the Head of Corporate Affairs for Barclays Bank of Kenya Limited. She was instrumental in PR activities for a number of share issues and privatizations that Barclays was involved with including, National Industrial Credit, Housing Finance Company of Kenya, Kenya Tourist Development Corporation (privatization), and the offloading of shares in Serena Hotels and Lodges, amongst others. Her experience in successfully orchestrating the Corporate Communications strategy for the floating of the bank's shares to the public in 1986, involved conducting business with the relevant regulatory bodies, the media, and existing and potential stakeholders.


 
Desiree Gomes - Executive Director

Desiree carries 15 years of corporate communications and marketing consultancy experience. With her proven administration agility and her extensive network of contacts, she has established firm relationships with various blue chip companies, non governmental organizations and within the media circuit. She lends her wealth of experience in managing large events, directing launches, administering international workshops, and conducting market research for new businesses.



 
Caroline Muthaura - Operations Director

Carole's 7 years of experience in Event Management and CSR activities underscores her role in planning events which are geared towards promoting clients to heights far beyond their competition. Some foremost events that Carole has been involved in include:
Safaricom Lewa Marathon - the only marathon in the world that is held in a wildlife conservancy; Launch of MOVE NIC Bank - successfully executed to target a certain market age group; Launch of The Mo Ibrahim Foundation which was established in support of better governance in Sub-Saharan Africa.


 
Caroline Obara - Finance, HR & Administration Director

With over a decade of financial experience, Carole Obara maintains and oversees all financial and accounting records and ensures financial obligations of the organization are carried. She demonstrates experience in monitoring computerized accounting systems while providing leadership to the finance team.
Carol's ability to provide clear directions on matters relating to finance ensures the accuracy, and relevance of procedures and legislation. She identifies, negotiates and makes recommendations on contracts and other financial arrangements as well as consistently provides advice on a broad range of financial issues.
She is also responsible for the preparation of financial reports and financial information all the while maintaining strict confidentiality in relation to the records and information about any businesses activities.


 
Menya Mwambeu - Director - Media & Client Services

Menya Mwambeu has over six years combined Corporate Communications and Media Relations experience, including a three year stints in broadcast reporting. His work in Media Relations builds on his clients marketing and corporate strategies in strategy development and implementation of Successful communication campaigns. This is broadly targeted to increase respective brand recognition and driving business opportunities.
In addition to developing Public Relations strategies, Menya has been instrumental in serving as his clients' intermediary for press inquiries; writing and pitching of press releases; arranging press interviews, and press tours. Prior to joining Gina Din Corporate Communications, Menya Mwambeu worked for Citizen TV and KBC TV as a business journalist.



 
Noel Wandera - Director - Media & Client Services

Mr. Noel Wandera has 9-years of experience in Kenya's media and public relations sectors. Prior to joining Gina Din in October 2006, he worked with The Standard Newspapers as a business reporter, specialising in Information Communication Technology (ICT), aviation and the tourism sectors. At Gina Din Corporate Communications, he has risen through the ranks, from a Media Executive and Account Manager to his current position of Director, Media and Client Services. As a director, he develops communication strategies for clients that include Public Relation Campaigns and media plans as well as compiling client reports every month.


Lena Gatabaki-Adeyinka - Account Manager

Lena Gatabaki - Adeyinka has more than 12 years experience building strategic Public Relations programs for a number of companies. Throughout her career, Lena has managed strategic public relations initiatives by designing, developing and implementing award winning PR campaigns.
Prior to joining Gina Din Corporate communications, she worked as an Account Executive at Yolanda Tavares Public Relations where she was instrumental in attaining the International Public Relations Association (IPRA) Honorable Mention award- 1999 for Spriteball for the Coca Cola Company, The Public Relations society of Kenya (PRSK) award for Best Campaign - 1999 for Fair & Lovely, a product of Unilever.
Awarded Second runners up in the in-house publication category for the Public Relations Society of Kenya (PRSK), 1999 for Nairobi Hospital. At Gina Din Corporate communications, she has directed campaigns and managed well known clients such as Safaricom's CEO Forum - 'A Call to Action' which won the SABRE Award for overall winner for the Public Sector campaign, 2009. She specializes in the creation and execution of thought leadership, poses a strong media background with a forte in building strategic communication and Conference management.

Zablon Odhiambo - Strategy Director

Zablon Odhiambo has over 10 years experience in the media and PR industries in Kenya - spanning the areas of; news and feature writing for print and electronic media and offering public relations services to various clients. His media work included writing for local and foreign media with a bias on; business, health, ICTs, agriculture, education and environment sectors. In the PR arena, he has; developed communication strategies, pitch proposals, media plans, client reports as well as PR campaigns. Prior to joining Gina Din, Zablon worked for Apex Communications Limited as a Staff Writer/Editor. He also worked for print, Radio, TV and magazines in Kenya and Tanzania and for online science publications based in UK and Egypt.

 




 

 

Shose Oyalo - Account Manager

Shose has close to 4 years experience in public relations. Her passion is in formulating and implementing communication strategies to effectively support client needs. Shose's strengths are evident in communicating corporate PR, Sports PR and brand assets. She has played a significant role in the team that planned and executed the Safaricom Classical fusion, Safaricom Marathon Launch of Safaricom Business, among others.

 





  Japheth Kagondu - Media Services Manager

Japheth has over ten years experience in Public Relations, Media Relations and Communications with vast knowledge on dynamic photography at Gina Din Corporate Communications. He has been instrumental in the implementation of client strategy and media plans, advising clients on best PR opportunities, writing releases, capturing stills and video photography and pitching them to the media. Over the years, he has successfully executed stills, video photography and media publicity through his wide media network for major corporate events locally and internationally. He lends his wealth of experience in managing the photography unit and clients image (stills & video) bank. In addition, Japheth carries over ten years experience in production of quality documentaries and features.



 
Lynn Mungai - Executive Assistant to the M.D.

Lynn has 9 years of experience in the field of Event Management through product launches, company events and conferencing. At GDCC Lynn has been able to take part in the creation and management of events that have raised the bar in the field of event management.
Projects that Lynn has been a part of are the 1st Safaricom AGM, The Safaricom Classical Fusion, The KCB KNRC & Safari Rallies as well as The 12th COMESA Summit 2007, The 2nd East Africa Community Investment Conference, The 8th AGOA Summit, The 9th ICA Ministerial Conference held in Nairobi.
