Spread the Love Campaign to end on September 13.
Friday, 9th September, 2011.
Curtains for the Spread the Love Campaign come down on Tuesday, September 13th 2011. This year, the campaign ends in a first ever colorful Spread the Love Honors Night, where ordinary persons who have done extra ordinary things in the society will be recognized and rewarded.
An initiative of Kijiji Records and Faida Investment Bank, the Spread the Love Campaign aims to activate and mobilize the Kenyan middle class to participate in transforming lives and communities through either their own initiatives, or through supporting existing social impact initiatives, with their professional qualifications, natural gifts and skills as their primary tools.
A total of eight panelists have been selected to represent eleven categories which have guided the public in the nomination process. Each of the categories is well represented on the panel to ensure that the nominees are properly evaluated taking into account the relevant industry standards and practices.
When selecting panelists, the following factors have been taken into account:
• Relevant industry experience
• Have done impactful work
• Highly networked and influential
• Good understanding of issues and policy in relevant industry
• Open minded
• Passion for social impact
These values ensure that each of the selected panelists understand the motive and values that drive the Spread the Love movement.
“We want to ensure everyone that the nomination process has been transparent and fair. All the panelists have worked tirelessly and we look forward to a great evening during the Gala event.
