It is with pride that we will continue to fly both the Arcay Communications Africa and now the Burson-Marsteller flags. Our focus is on servicing our clients and those of our African and international partners."

Chairman of Arcay Communications, Robyn de Villiers, added : "Experience has taught us that it is the 'home grown' communications solution - the combination of local insight, understanding and in-country implementation with regional co-ordination, reporting and strategy direction - which multinational organisations doing business in the growing and lucrative African markets seek. It is our tailored for Africa service offering and our reach, provided by partners like GDCC, which give Arcay Communications Africa the edge."

Gina Din wins top Marketing and PR Award

May 15, 2009 - Public Relations Company, Gina Din Corporate Communications has won an international award for use of effective and innovative communication strategies to build its clients.

The company beat other 14 other contestants to win the Marketing and Public Relations (MPR) gold award at a colourful event held in Amman Jordan last week. This is the first time an African firm has bagged the Gold Award. Last year, Gina Din won Silver.

The awards were in recognition of helping Korean electronics giant LG to achieve its 2008 marketing targets and brand building campaign in the East African region, which is covered by the company's regional office in Nairobi.

Speaking after receiving the award, Gina Din Executive Director Ms. Desiree Gomes said public relations has become vital in business. The PR agency has also been nominated for the Sabre Awards for steering the communication for Safaricom IPO and advocacy for the CEO forum that played a vital role in resolving the political impasse after the disputed elections.

"Most successful companies worldwide are outsourcing their PR management to professionals. This is important as they are able to cut on costs and concentrate on their core business, which is bearing fruits for many such companies," she said.

"For us, it's always an honour to take our clients to the next level in terms of ensuring target and effective communication to their publics. We are happy that our work is being recognized not just in Kenya but worldwide," she added.

The award was presented by LG Electronics Middle East and Africa Regional Company Chief Executive Officer Mr. Ki Wan Kim during the MPR Forum for Middle East and African countries held in Amman, Jordan.

The LG annual awards, which feature top PR firms worldwide, have always been dominated by the Middle Eastern countries. The silver award went to the Pakistan office.

Gina Din Corporate Communications has been pivotal in building the LG brand in the region by putting the right public relations skills to build a sustainable brand. Last year, the PR agency won the Public Relations Society of Kenya's PR Consultancy of the year award for the fourth year running.
